This website belongs to Das Potenzial LLC, 22752 Orellana, Mission Viejo, California, USA. I’m Sascha Schneider, and I’m responsible for how your data is handled here. Questions about your data: sascha (at) daspotenzial.com.
The short version
This site collects very little. No analytics, no ad trackers, no tracking cookies. I only see what you give me: your first name and email if you sign up for the field notes, and your details if you book a conversation or write to me. I never sell or rent your data.
What I collect, and why
Field notes sign-up
When you sign up, I receive your first name and email address. I use them to send you the audio briefing and the field notes, and to reply when you write back. Your sign-up is stored in this website’s database, sent to my inbox, and added to a private Google Sheet I use as my subscriber list.
For visitors in the EU and UK, the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time: reply “unsubscribe” to any email, or write to me.
Booking a conversation
The booking page uses Google Calendar appointment scheduling. When you book, Google processes the details you enter, such as your name and email, and passes them to me so we can meet. Google’s own privacy policy applies to its service. Legal basis: arranging the conversation you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you write to me, I keep our correspondence in my email account, which runs on Google Workspace, for as long as it’s useful for our exchange.
Server logs
Like every website, my hosting provider, Rocket.net, records technical data when you visit: IP address, browser, pages requested and time. This keeps the site secure and running, and is deleted after a short period. Legal basis: a legitimate interest in a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The booking page loads Google Calendar, which may set its own cookies when you use it.
Who else sees your data
Only the service providers named above, and only to provide their service: my hosting provider (Rocket.net) and Google (email, booking and the subscriber sheet). Some of them process data in the United States. Where EU or UK data is transferred, this relies on the providers’ standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long I keep it
Sign-up data until you unsubscribe. Booking and email data for as long as we’re in conversation or working together, and as long as the law requires after that.
Your rights
You can ask me what data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, ask for a copy, or object to its use. Write to sascha (at) daspotenzial.com and I’ll answer within 30 days. If you’re in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Do Not Track
This site doesn’t track you across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off.
Sparring conversations
What you tell me in a sparring session is confidential and covered by our agreement, not by this page.
Changes
If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top.
